To follow a photographer...

 
Saturday I had the joy of accompanying my friend Kaylee Eylander to a wedding she was shooting in Seattle.  Not being the principal photographer gave me the opportunity to watch a pro at work, catch some journalistic shots of Kaylee doing what she loves and also take some shots I'd probably have missed had I been in charge of getting all the necessary images.  

All in all I had a great time; I got us lost on our way to the reception (okay, maybe the directions were't great to begin with) and I got to spend some quality time with my Canon 5d.  

Here are some of my favorite images from the day.  The theme was very vibrant and colorful and simple, so I tried to keep the processing along those lines.   There are many more to be edited, but that's one thing every photographer has to learn; how to balance your time with the return you'll get for your work!  Since I"m building my portfolio, the time I've spent is well worth it.  However, since I have yet to decide what kind of photography I would like to focus on I had to work on other projects as well.  I'll post those soon.

Weirdest Searches

For your entertainment this evening, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the five weirdest search keywords that led people to this blog, in no particular order:

1. adorable dish scrubber looks like a man (for those multi-tasking type people who want to get their voodoo on while getting their lasagna pan clean at the same time.)
2. goosebumps on face (What in the world about this search request would lead someone to MY blog?!)
3. musican's head and instrument wash up on the shore (What?! Really??? I do NOT want to know more!)
4. wifeylove blog married to a musician (Is the blog married to a musician? Is it called wifeylove? So much mystery!)
5. gut despising (I wouldn't say I despise my gut but I do know I've never blogged about it!)

Having dinner with friends is fun, even more so when you get to borrow one of your friend's 50mm f/1.8 prime lens to play around with all night!  We got a bunch of fun shots but in the middle I tried to change the settings from RAW L to Jpeg and instead just set it to RAW and I have yet to install the converter that came with my camera.  

Here's a couple I got of my girl, Kaeleigh.  She's a ham!  

All I did for editing was run Pioneer Woman's Boost action in Photoshop.  I'm being sort of lazy tonight.
